My journey has been shaped by a diverse educational and professional background, spanning engineering, sustainability, research, writing, and leadership. With a B.Sc. in Chemical Engineering, an M.Eng. in Energy Technology, and a PhD in Environmental Engineering, I have developed a deep expertise in microalgal biotechnology, renewable energy, and wastewater management.
Academic and Research Path
My academic journey began at Bangladesh University of Engineering and Technology (BUET), where I laid the foundation for my engineering expertise. I then pursued a Master’s in Energy Technology at the Asian Institute of Technology (AIT), Thailand, focusing on the design and evaluation of microalgae cultivation systems. Now, as a PhD researcher at Griffith University, Australia, I am working on algal biorefinery systems integrated with biogas upgrading technologies.
I have published multiple peer-reviewed journal articles, book chapters, and conference papers, gaining international recognition in sustainable bioenergy, environmental remediation, and circular economy solutions. My research spans both wet-lab and computational modeling, allowing me to approach sustainability challenges from multiple perspectives.
Creative and Literary Pursuits
Beyond the lab, I am also a storyteller, writer, and creator. I have a deep interest in folklore, dystopian fiction, and comics, often blending historical narratives with speculative fiction. I am currently working on a series of folklore-based ebooks, historical fiction, and a comic book series set in Bangladesh with international themes. My passion for storytelling extends to blogging, audiobook creation, and digital content production, where I explore topics ranging from history to modern-day societal issues.
Leadership and Community Engagement
I actively contribute to academic and student communities, holding leadership positions such as:
- President of Griffith Chess Club
- Event Coordinator of Griffith HDR Club
- Treasurer of Griffith University Bangladesh Association (GUBA)
- Student Representative on the Griffith Sciences Group (SCG) Board (2025 term)
Through these roles, I organize academic, cultural, and social events, fostering an environment where students and researchers can collaborate, learn, and grow.
Beyond Work: Personal Interests
Outside of research and writing, I am an avid chess player, indie film enthusiast, and finance observer. I have explored stock investments, trading, and financial analysis, applying my analytical mindset to identify market trends and opportunities. My interests also extend to technology, AI-driven innovations, and global socio-economic issues.
Through my multidisciplinary experiences, I have embraced the belief that knowledge should not be confined to one domain—it should be explored, shared, and used to create impact.
