Hi! Its me!

I am Nilay Kumar Sarker, a researcher, writer, and creative thinker with a passion for exploring the intersections of science, sustainability, storytelling, and digital innovation. My academic journey spans chemical engineering, energy technology, and environmental engineering, with a research focus on microalgal bioeconomy, renewable biofuels, and wastewater treatment.

Beyond academia, I am deeply engaged in folklore storytelling, comic book creation, and financial analysis, blending analytical rigor with creative expression. As a leader, I actively contribute to student communities at Griffith University, holding multiple positions that foster academic, cultural, and social growth.

As a neurodivergent individual, my journey has come with unique challenges—navigating structured academic and professional environments while thinking in unconventional, multidisciplinary ways. Punctuality, deep focus, and perseverance have shaped my approach, but so have the struggles of balancing intense curiosity with the need for structured progress. I embrace these challenges as part of my identity, using them to drive innovation, creativity, and resilience in everything I do.

At my core, I believe in breaking barriers, connecting ideas, and making a meaningful impact—whether through science, storytelling, or leadership.
